Oleg is one of the icons of western art in the United States and is a member of a the Skull Society, the elite group of top artists who display their work at the C. M. Russell Art Show and Auction. His work is in collections all over the world, and has won countless awards. It is enormously popular with both collectors and fellow artists. Oleg was born in Harlem, New York in 1927. He was the son of immigrants, fleeing from the revolution in Russia. He began his career as a commercial artist, then fell in love with western art after a visit to the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma, and was inspired to do fine art. Though best known for western art, Oleg's subjects include abstracts, Native Americans, jazz musicians, automobiles, oil-drilling paintings, and various others. A fearless and ever evolving artist, he gets interested in something and dives into painting it with the style that best suits the subject.

Lesa is Oleg's daughter, and fifth child, and began painting and selling art at age 14. Her original subject matter was primarily "Americana" which included pastoral scenes, westerns, landscapes, portraits, and occasionally, fighter jets or other commissioned subjects. Lesa painted in oils. She won many awards and had a successful career as an artist until she began experiencing health problems caused by the heavy metals and solvents she was using, which eventually forced her to quit painting. After a 20 year hiatus, Lesa returned to painting, this time using acrylics. Her main subject matter is wildlife/animals, though she is still attracted to Americana and abstracts. Lesa won Best of Show in acrylics at the Heart of the West Art Show and Auction her first year back painting. Bringing awareness to conservation efforts, and her spirituality are her main inspirations.
Lesa's originals are currently available online and at Mountain Trails Fine Art in Santa Fe, NM.

She recently began discovering her passion for fine art incorporating two of her favorite things: animals & patterns. She grew up in Austin, Texas and holds a BA in psychology from the University of Washington. She holds a national 8-ball title and used to be a world-class billiard player who formerly competed on the Women’s Professional Billiard Association Tour.
